In this study, the effect of cooking and pre-cooking methods was done on quality and sensory factors of peeled and un peeled whiteleg western shrimp. Free fatty acids, pH indices, TBARs, volatile nitrogen bubbles (TVB-N) and sensory factors such as tissue, Odor, taste were evaluated during 16 days of storage at -18 ° C. Cooking and pre-cooking of shrimp were done by boiling, in which the shrimp was heated to 80 ° C for 5 minutes to cooking and 3 minutes to pre-cooking. The lowest of factors such thiobarbituric acid was in unpeeled raw shrimp and the highest in peeled cooking, for pH in unpeeled raw shrimp and peeled cooking, for TVB-N, unpeeled raw shrimp and the highest in peeled cooking and for FFA index peeled cooking and the highest in peeled raw shrimp. The results showed heating would maintain the quality indices during the maintenance period.

AbstractIn intensive and semi-intensive breeding systems of shrimp, growth and development Dependson natural foods addition, the complete nutrition that can provide all the nutritional requirements of existing needs. This study was done on 6shrimp farms pool in Choebdeh of Abadan for 7 months. Shrimp were fed with two different diets,Goldquine imported and domestic Shiraz Bayda. Sampling at the starter with an average weight of 2/52 ± 0/35, growing at an average weight of9 ± 1/41 and final with an average weight of 16± 1/41 was conducted. The results showed no significant difference in the indices of two diets (P

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Persian gum and extract Basil (Ocimum basilicum)coating on the rancidity development in silver carp ( Hypophthalmichthys molitrix)fillets during freezing storage (-18 ºC). This epperiment was examined over a period of 3 months. The Persian gum and basil extract covering the treatment of gum 2% , 1.5% extract and extract was prepared containing treatment and control (uncoated). The control and treated fish samples were analyzed for chemical (TVB-N, TBARS, FFA, pH) characteristics, and sensory characteristics monthly for frozen samples. Totally, the results of chemical and sensory analyses indicated lower levels of TBA, FFA, pH, TVB-N in coated samples and especially those with gum containing basil extract while were kept in frozen (-18°C) storage. Significant differences between them in control of chemical (TVB-N, TBARS, FFA, Ph) characteristics in Three months. The results of this study showed the best coverage on the fillets Persian gum solution contains basil extract indicated and can say, gum zedo and basil extracts to increase survival for silver fish fillets in the freezer temperature storage conditions (18) are effective

According to the importance of growth hormone gene in aquaculture, in this study, cloning of gowth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper (Epinephelus coioides) was examined in pTZ57R/T vector. For this purpose, growth hormone cDNA was preparated and amplified using specific designed primers. PCR product was purified by QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit, Growth hormone gene was inserted in pTZ57R/T vector. Ligation product was transformed into competent E.coli (DH5α) cells. The white clones selected on the LB media and were extracted plasmid as recombinant bacteria .verified clones obtained in this study were performed by direct PCR and sequencing methods Orange-spotted grouper growth hormone cDNA contains an open reading frame consisting of 615 nucleotides and 204 amino acid protein. The calculated molecular weight and isoelectric point of growth hormone protein were respectively 23.014 and 6.9. Results of this study suggested that growth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper was successfully cloned in the pTZ57R/T vector, and can be used for growth hormone gene expression in expression vectors and growth hormone protein production. Comparison of gene sequences obtained with E.coioides GH gene sequence in gene bank, indicate sequence similarity between them.

16S rRNA is one of the components of the ribosome and widely used in phylogenetic studies of closely related species and especially related species Crassostrea. Nucleotide sequence polymorphism associated with 16S rRNA gene of mitochondrial genome of Persian Gulf Oyster (Crassostrea sp.), examined in 30 samples collected from Badar-e Emam Khomeini oysters. Through a primer PCR chain reaction was performed for all samples and product of PCR were Automated sequencing. Then the data obtained were analyzed by the programs and software. For the gene studied only there was 2 mutation and Nucleotide diversity (Pi) 0.00061 calculated. Among the 30 samples, 3 haplotypes were detected and average haplotype diversity (Hd) 0.195 were calculated. The haplotypes obtained in this study were first registered in the gene bank. Phylogeny trees drived from 16S rRNA gene sequencing showed no clear separation of the samples in the Bandar-e Imam Khomeini region. The results of this study showed that there is low sequence differentiation in the study population in Bandar-e Imam Khomeini.

An identification study of ostracoda fauna was performed on 12 bottom sediment samples collected from the Makran (Oman) Sea at depths from 30 to 130 m using Van Veen Grab with 0.1 m2 area. At each station three sub-samples were collected using handy corer (6.15 cm2 area). A total of 80 species were identified and their biogeographic distributions has been discussed. Nine species are described as new in the study area. In relation to faunas from other Indo-Pacific regions, the ostracoda fauna in the study area was moderately diverse and the majority of the species were represented. The fauna shows close affinities to those of the Red Sea and the Indo-Pacific region. Only one “cosmopolitan” species (Falsocythere terryi) is common to the Makran (Oman) region and the Mediterranean. All new specimens figured are deposited at the Micropalaoontological section of Senckenberg Museum (Frankfurt am Main) under catalogue numbers SMF Xe 22250-22556. The present study is a part of winter cruise 2006 results which has been held in Makran Sea and Persian Gulf (ROPME Sea Area) region. New species identified are following: Neonesidea paiki sp. Costa afriorientalis sp., Bosella hormuzensis sp., Quasibradleya pseudoandamanae sp., Microcythere crescentiformis sp., Paradoxostoma butticulum sp., P. curvirostrum sp., P. procerum sp., P. ensiformis sp.
